I really like a theme wedding. They can be so much fun. Last weekend I went to a fantastic wedding and reception. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
They chose a small country church to hold the wedding ceremony. They had satin bows and ribbon to decorate the pews and beautiful flower arrangements with candles all around the altar. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The little ring boy was adorable in his little tux, and the groomsmen were very handsome in theirs, with the white boutonnieres in the lapels. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were such a lovely couple. After the ceremony the bride and groom left the church in a horse drawn buggy.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. It was spectacular. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. From the country décor to the themed wedding favors, everything was perfection. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. The corn stalks and bales of hay really made this the perfect picture of a down home reception. They had things for the children to do so they could have as good a time as the grown ups. Some of the kids were bobbing for apples while others were into a wild game of horse shoes, and still others were trying their hand at line dancing. We were all having a fantastic time.
The wedding cake was spectacular and the wedding topper had us all in stitches. It was the perfect themed cake topper. The western themed champagne flutes were really unique. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. That was such a unique idea.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. Since they did a lot of grilling, we had our choice of steaks, ribs, and chicken, plus all kinds of salads and vegetables. There was plenty of great food to choose from. The fun never stopped, we danced, ate great foods, and had a fantastic time. The country western theme was a blast.
There was another themed reception I went to that was also a lot of fun, it was a beach themed reception. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.
The bridesmaids looke so nice in their linen summer dresses and the groomsmen were quite handsome in their drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
Their reception was more than elegant too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. Seashells, orchids and little starfish placed in a sand filled tray, with a gorgeous white candle on each side, was her centerpieces. Each and every guest had adorable little seashell place card holders, and champagne glasses with beach themed decorations on the stems.
She had everything in a beautiful beach décor, from her wedding cake topper to the wonderful theme wedding invitations she had put together. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.

The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. It was a lovely home with a couple of acres and a barn for their horses they planned on having. I would have loved to have started my married life out in a place like this.

Some of the kids were bobbing for apples while others were into a wild game of horse shoes, and still others were trying their hand at line dancing. It was great fun for everyone.

There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. Since this was more like a country barbecue, there was plenty choices of meats, salads and vegetables. There was plenty of great food to choose from. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. We all had a wonderful time at the country western themed party.
There was another themed reception I went to that was also a lot of fun, it was a beach themed reception. A beach wedding ceremony is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The sun setting in the water makes a very romantic scene. The warm breeze and the sound of the waves simply adds to the ambiance of the ceremony. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.

You couldn’t ask for a more perfect ceremony than this wonderful dream wedding.

The centerpieces were little trays filled with sand and two large pillar candles with seashells, starfish and orchids all around them. Each and every guest had adorable little seashell place card holders, and champagne glasses with beach themed decorations on the stems.

I didn’t have as many problems planning an outside wedding as I thought I would. It wasn’t as expensive as an indoor wedding would have been. Since we had the beauty of nature all around us, it wasn’t too expensive to decorate. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. I could have had our wedding ceremony on the beach, with a fun filled beach party reception, or an elegant garden party, but I chose a ceremony and reception in the park. I found several perfect parks that would work fine for our wedding day.

I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I shopped around for some much needed suggestions. When you plan to be married in the great outdoors, it seems you have to have a backup plan just in case the weather turns from sunny to pouring buckets. So we arranged to have a tent set up to move the ceremony into if necessary, just as a precaution.

Plan “A” was setting up a gorgeous trellis for our ceremony to be performed under and canopies for the reception. I mainly concentrated on the decorations for our wedding table and the reception tables. With the park as our main theme, I basically had to make sure I had our table settings and maybe throw in a few extra bouquets of flowers. I decided to go with artificial flowers because I didn’t want to have our wedding to be the target of a bee swarm. The only way you could tell that the flowers were artificial, was by touch, they were beautiful. Although planning wasn’t as difficult a chore as I thought, there were quite a few things to take care of. You want to make sure you have plenty of citronella candles scattered about, and that the rest rooms are within walking distance, and make sure your frosting on your cake doesn’t melt in the heat.

As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. I had little park bench place card holders at each table setting, and little citronella votive candles in glass globes with a nice flower arrangement as our centerpieces. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a summer wedding theme. For our wedding table, of course, was our fabulous wedding cake with a very unique wedding cake topper.

I found it while browsing online for my other wedding accessories, and fell in love with it. They were especially customized for the bride and groom. After I sent them a head shot of my fiance and myself they made our bride and groom topper to look exactly like us. Talk about the best wedding keepsake you can get. All of our guests were so impressed with our topper, they couldn’t stop talking about it. Everything I ordered for our ceremony and reception was the best in wedding accessories, especially our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set. It’s unbelievable all the lovely accessories you can purchase from you computer.

Well, the wedding was beautiful and the reception was just as perfect. Thank goodness the weather stayed perfect throughout the entire ceremony and reception and we never had to put plan B into action. We all loved the super DJ and the fantastic job he was doing, and if I’m right, he probably kept the music and dancing going on for quite a while after we left to go on our honeymoon. There were many good comments about our beautiful wedding ceremony and fun filled reception party we had. I couldn’t have picked a better place than the park for our wedding ceremony and reception party. If we should decide somewhere down the line to have a renewal wedding ceremony, I think I’d like to have it in the park again.

It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. The weather cooperated and we never had to go to plan “B” with the tents. Everyone commented on what a lovely ceremony and super reception we had. I’m so glad I decided to go with a wedding in the park. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.

When I got married, a long, long time ago, about the only options we had, was the traditional wedding, a justice of the peace or elopement. Times have changed so much that you can plan your wedding day to be what you want it to be. There are even long distance weddings, where everybody takes a trip to where the wedding will take place. Everybody probably feels like they’re eploping too. You can choose from a terrific new favor selection – they have everything from old style weddings to long distance weddings.

Soon my daughter will be getting married and I have been helping her to prepare for her country western wedding and reception. At first I thought that idea was just a little out there, but the more we got into the actual planning, the more I liked it. She’s set up a country band, barbecue grills and hay bales that will be part of the party decor. She plans to string lights and lanterns everywhere outside for her big country reception party. They’ve arranged to rent a dude ranch for this event, which really surprised me, because, I didn’t know you could even do that. She purchased many wedding and reception embellishments on the internet and they went with the country western style. She also purchased cowboy hats for herself and her groom and the most adorable new weddings for her guests.

Instead of a normal reception it is looking more like a family get together that has hayrides and outdoor grills. It sounds like it will be a fantastic time for all the guests. I was surprised to hear that they are going to have a barn dance in a good ole country western style. After hearing all this I knew I had to go to the store and get blue jeans, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat so that I could join in the fun and excitement. This wedding is going to be the wedding of the year and probably won’t be forgotten for a long time. Thanks to my daughters great country themed wedding, she’s given me a great idea for our anniversary.

Things sure have changed since my wedding day, especially the fantastic accessories and reception supplies available. It’s amazing what is out there and the variety you can choose from. There were plenty of suggestions for beach weddings that I thought were very nice with little seashells, starfish and other oceanside designs. You would be surprised how many people have weddings in the winter and have it outside. That sounds beautiful, but it seems just a little too modern, and too cold for my taste. I think I’d rather have my winter wonderland wedding and reception, indoors, where it’s warm. Maybe a ski resort would be a good place for a winter wedding, with all the fireplaces and cozy winter atmosphere.

Autumn is a beautiful time of the year and my favorite, and it would be a great time to have a wedding. Autumn is the best season for me and the best time to have a wedding, with it’s colorful background as your main motif.
