The Best Groomsmen Gift Ideas on the Internet!

Monday, June 1st, 2009

When my best friend informed me of a online shopping store for wedding accessories and supplies that could save us a little on the wedding expenses, I thought I’d give it a try. She was right, they had everything from wedding invitations to wedding favors and none of it was really expensive. I was surprised at all the great groomsmen gifts and bridemaids gifts they carry, as well as so many styles of wedding accessories for both ceremonies and receptions.  We found quite a few great ideas for groomsman gifts for the guys that wasn’t very expensive.  He was able to find a cheap groomsman gift for each one of the guys that he knew they would like. Of course, my wedding décor and the supplies I would need, I intended to buy there.
December was the month we planned on for our wedding date and I was determined to have a winter wonderland wedding, and with all the accessories they have to offer, I knew I’d have everything I needed to make it work. I ordered very decorative winter wedding bulletins to send out as invitations. When I went searching for my flower girls basket and the ring boys pillow I found a wedding set that not only had both those things but also, a guestbook, pen set and a lovely wedding garter too. All the pieces matched and I was really surprised at the total cost of the set, it was so much lower than I would expect. I know, after reading a few wedding articles, that many churches won’t allow the tossing of petals for the bride and grooms departure and many couples have chosen bubbles to be blown as they exit the ceremony. So I ordered bottles of bubbles from this online shopping site I’m using and they also send you little bubble cards for each bottle.
You’d be surprised at the marvelous accessories I bought from there. We also ordered our gifts for the bridesmaids, flower girl, ring boy and the rest of the wedding party. A mug was the choice for the groomsman favors that he choice and each mug said groomsman on it. Now we had gifts for my bridesmaids, groomsmen and everyone that was in our ceremony, so now, I needed to concentrate on what to buy for our guests. There were an awful lot of winter wonderland wedding favors to choose from for our reception. I decided on these really beautiful winter frosted glass votive candles for our friends and family as their thank you gifts. The glass candles had wintery snowflakes all over it. They each came in their own little favor box with a silver hang tag.
The place card holders I chose were beautiful little snow ornaments that the guests can take home as a little momento. I found champagne flutes, cake knife set, and the most adorable whimsical wedding cake topper for a winter wonderland wedding. Our topper was of a bride and groom skiing and I had the top layer of our cake made into a mountain of snow for the happy couple to placed upon. The cake really turned out nice and I made sure there were lots of pictures of it for my gorgeous winter wonderland wedding album. We cut our cake and shared the first piece, then my brother in law gave a little speech as he toasted to the bride and groom, and then it was time for us to have our first dance of the evening. With all eyes on us as we danced, I felt as magical as a princess in a fairy tale.
Everyone was having a fantastic time and this reception was perfection from beginning to end. All of my girls in the wedding party loved their thank you gifts as did the guys and their wedding groomsmen gifts. Some of our friends and family expressed how much they really liked the thank you gifts they received and told us what a spectacular wedding and reception we had.

He Has To Pick Out The Groomsmen Gifts

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

With all that I have to do, he will have to take care of the gifts for his groomsmen and his best man on his own. He wanted to know if I would do it for him, he’s not really too good at picking out gifts, but I’ve got so much to take care of myself, that I just don’t know if I can find the time. I’m doing all the planning and the invitations, then there is the decorations, table settings, and wedding favors to take care off.  If he wants his friends to have groomsmen gifts, he’ll have to just do the best he can and take care of it himself.

Today I’m going in for a fitting for my gown and my bridesmaids are suppose to be there for their fittings too, but one of them called me and she’s sick, so she’ll have to have her’s done later. So that’s got me in a tizzy. After the fittings I have to check on caterers for the food and our of course, our wedding cake. I’ve been running around ragged for what seems like a decade trying to find everything I need for my ceremony and reception, and I’m just about ran out.

My sister suggested I try online shopping for all of my wedding accessories and supplies. I’ve never really been a fan of online shopping before, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try it out.  Or at least, give it a look. So I did, and I was really surprised. They have a lot of really nice wedding and reception items to choose from. There are even discounts on some of the accessories and wedding favors. I started checking out everything they had to offer, and low and behold there they were: gifts for groomsmen. There was some pretty awesome gifts in there for groomsmen and the best man.  There are even some nice little things for his Dad and mine.  So, I sat down with my fiance and we went through it all together.  There were some great mugs we thought about giving them, then we ran across super looking T-shirt transfers for the best man and groomsman. Now that he has so much to choose from, he can’t make up his mind.  We did decide on gifts for our Dads though. I know they will love what we got them and they will get some use out of them. There was so many wedding accessories, gifts and other wonderful items to look at. I found the perfect gifts for my bridesmaids, maid of honor and our moms. I also found the perfect cake topper that really suits our personalities, and I know everyone will get a kick out of. It’s a little whimsical, but it’s really the perfect topper for us. Even my fiance agrees with me on that one.

So, after checking all of this out, I’ve gotten almost everything I need for my ceremony and reception. From flower girl basket to crystal champagne flutes for our traditional toast to the bride and groom. After putting a lot of thought into it, my fiance actually made a decision on what he’s going to do about the wedding groomsmen gifts. He’s decided on the glass mugs, but he was to have their names printed on each one. I think that’s a pretty neat idea, and knowing his friends like I do, those mugs will get plenty of use.    Well, my fiance has learned that picking out gifts isn’t all that hard, and I’ve learned that online shopping can make things a lot easier and more enjoyable.
