What could be more romantic than a wedding held in the month of Februrary? That’s what I decided to do, have a ceremony and reception filled with one of the most adorned symbols of love throughout our ceremony and reception party. The first thing I bought was a gorgeous bridal tiara that I picked out over the Internet. There were many wonderful decorations and supplies to choose from, such as the invitations I bought. The cards we used as wedding invitations had a pair of hearts on the front of them, both silver. The only thing I really had to do was write in the information, like the place and the date, and the rest was already filled out in beautiful calligraphy when we got them.
So taking care of the invitations was a cinch, now I had to plan the décor for our hearts wedding and reception. I also had to make sure I had nice little hearts wedding favors for everyone. I wanted to get something extra special to add to the reception gifts for our bridesmaids and groomsmen. I found so many exceptional gift ideas for them and the ring boy and flower girl. So along with the many wedding favor heart ideas there were for our guests, I found just as many great gifts for our wedding party too.
We had figured out what our young ring boy and flower girl and everyone else was going to wear. The basket for the flower girl was going to be adorned with white satin, with lace and bows on each side. The rings also had a white satin ribbon on them, with a white pillow that had a gold double hearts wedding insignia on it for our ring bearer. My bridal tiara was a pretty good match for the one that I picked out for the flower girl to wear in the ceremony. She did look like a little princess in her lovely little pink flower girl dress, and she did such a super job in the ceremony. So did the ring boy, he was quite elegant in his little tuxedo with a red boutonniere in his lapel. When he walked, he didn’t get out of sync with everyone else, and he bore the rings in distinguished fashion. I was so proud of both of them.
For our wedding reception I had centerpieces made up of red, white and pink roses with little valentine hearts arranged in with the flowers. On each of the reception tables were little two hearts wedding candles to set the romantic mood of the theme I had chosen, and at each setting was the nicest place card holders I could find. I picked out small silver bells with handles in the form of a heart to give each of our guests as a present that would be a memento of our wedding. Our wedding cake was decorated with little hearts all around the bottom layer and little tiny pink and red roses trimmed each layer. There was a porcelain wedding cake topper, colored white, that fit in with our hearts wedding cake and the rest of our cake adornments beautifully.
The hearts and flowers that saturated our wedding made it the very definition of what a love-filled, Valentine’s Day wedding should be. Thank goodness for the world wide web, which certainly saved me a ton of time and hassle.
